Presentatie eigentijdse sculpturen in brons, glas en andere materialen van bekende en jonge veelbelovende Europese kunstenaars. De galerie, gevestigd in Roermond, heeft de tijd genomen een intensieve persoonlijke relatie met haar kunstenaars op te bouwen. Het vertrouwen in kwaliteit is een bepalende factor in de relatie tussen kunstenaar en galerie en uiteindelijk de klant. De tijd die wordt geïnvesteerd in het bezoeken van ateliers, academies, tentoonstellingen en musea door heel Europa hebben tot gevolg dat hoge selectiecriteria worden aangehouden. Een tweede keurmerk voor de liefhebber is hiermee realiteit geworden. Kunstenaars van Nederlandse origine en van ver buiten Nederland, vertegenwoordigd bij Galerie Mariska Dirkx, geven een goede indruk van wat er allemaal gebeurd op gebied van moderne kunst. Galerie Mariska Dirkx is in 1975 gestart met het presenteren van het werk van de beeldhouwer Dick van Wijk. In het atelier annex de galerie van Mariska Dirkx en Dick van Wijk is een interesse ontstaan voor ruimtelijke werken. De locatie van Galerie Mariska Dirkx is het voormalige atelier van de glazenier Joep Nicolas (1897- 1975). Het oude klooster/ atelier, dat het grootste glasatelier in de jaren 30 in Nederland was, is de voornaamste inspiratiebron geweest voor het onderzoeken en exposeren van modern glas. Door haar contacten met internationaal bekende kunstenaars, ontmoet door haar deelname aan buitenlandse kunstbeurzen, heeft Galerie Mariska Dirkx een veelzijdige collectie weten op te bouwen. Het doel van exposities is het creëren van een forum voor kunstenaars en klanten om op die manier een nieuwe impuls te geven aan de moderne beeldende kunst. Regarding the insurance of the art pieces: "AON insurance company" is specialised in art-insurance. The insurance we have arranged for our clients is from inside the gallery to inside your home. But as soon as you sign for receivement of the object, you also sign for receiving the object in "mint" condition. THUS: On receivement of the art, wether at the airport or at the delivery of your home, you have to sign that you received the object in good order. It is most important that you do NOT sign before you have seen the object is REALLY in good order. For example: If you signed but didn't have the opportunity to open the case and examine the send items. Insurrance companies are likely to say that (when something is incorrect) that it was perhaps the last stage of bringing the object outside your office in to the office is where the damage is caused. So examine before you sign. Please instruct your employees to do so. The wooden case has been closed with screws, make sure you have a (electric) screwdriver at hand.
Maintenance of art in the material: Bronze: Outside: the skin of bronze (Patine) is influence by its enviroment. Depending on the surrounding industry, woods or fumes a colouration can happen. Each bronze object is closed of the air around it, by "painting" the object with transparant Beewax. If you choose NOT to have nature have its way, we suggest to once or twice a year re-apply the transparant beewax. Perhaps a washing of the bronze object with water, is in order to get rid of treewax or what birds leave behind. Inside: You can dust of the bronze object with either a plumeau or a vacuum-cleaner. Glass: Normally ordinary water is sufficient. But in some cases, water or fluids are strictly prohibited. For example: the bustiers by Patula Berm: the marbles are glued together. UV-light is used to harden the glue but water would dissolve the glue. Make sure you ask what kind of procedure is in place.
